Log: We had more motivation than wind this morning, and with Marley off for the day to get a haircut it was an opportunity to sail without scaring the poor thing, but these fall days definitely don’t pack the same windy punch as summer. We motored around looking for the odd puff here and there, then found a breeze so headed off towards Berkeley to make the best of it. Hot soup for lunch (that breeze was a cold one), then around we went looking for more fun in the slot, but it wasn’t to be.
A highlight today was a pretty successful attempt at backing into the slip. Not bad! … and might have been entirely successful if we hadn’t got wedged with fenders in our just-too-small slip (we are on the wait list for an upgrade). It’s interesting to actually look at the back end (Boundless doesn’t exactly have a transom, per se) close up.
Bob and Dave, and Jamey were over for dinner last night. It was good to do a bit of entertaining, and Boundless is beginning to feel very much like home.
