Easter Day Sailing

Easter Day Sailing

Departure:  Clipper Yacht Harbor
Arrival:  Clipper Yacht Harbor
Distance (nm):  23nm
Engine Hours:  1
Crew & Guests:  Julian, Colin & Marley
Weather: Sunny, nice, variable wind

Log:  A nice Easter Sunday sail way across to the City waterfront with the intention of heading into the South Bay until we hit the doldrums off just before the bridge, and decided a windier trip up to the Richmond Bridge might be better.

The wind was light enough that we threw out the staysail also, but strong enough coming back through Raccoon Straights that we furled in the Genoa, and tacked through with staysail alone.

Highlight:  Saw a big whale surfacing just at the top of Raccoon Straights. (No photo of course).
