Log:
It was great to catch up with Stuart, after way too long. We started off with a coffee on board and headed out for a leisurely sail, with the outlook pretty gloomy over the City. The wind was fine however, and running what is becoming a familiar circuit – we headed over to the City waterfront, rounded Alcatraz, snuck into the lee of Angel Island, which makes for a good opportunity for a snack, and then Stuart was put to work as we beat our way down Racoon Straights.
Pistachio feeling swift with her newly painting bottom, we saw 8+ knots on the knot meter heading downwind passing Alcatraz.
It was good to see Stuart again, and special to have him out on Pistachio; a long-time friend and crew, he has been sailing with us on both our previous boats.
