A good sail out the Gate, past Bonita Point, and a taste of the ocean. Super-flat, nice breeze, and a flood tide to take us in (hit over 10 knots SOG). Warm for the time of year, but still ‘hot soup’ kind of weather.
Looking pretty spiffy with the new main, plus new (ish) foresail, and definitely faster (helped by the folding prop too, I’m sure). Putting up the main, we realize the reefing lines are far too short with 3 much deeper reefs than on the previous sail. That 3rd reef is deeeeep!
Loving the new sail insignia too … so much less Third Reicht.
